It’s official, at last. Director K. V. Anand’s “Maatran,” starring Suriya and Kajal Agarwal in the lead, is to hit the screens on August 15.
Earlier, there was a lot of speculation about its release and sources in the unit had indicated that the film was likely to release in July.

Now, Eros International, which has bought the Tamil theatrical rights of the film, has announced that it will hit the screens on Independence Day.

Suriya plays two roles in the film which has been shot in various places such as Russia, Croatia, Serbia, Albania and Macedonia.

The most awaited celebrity marriage of the year will take place tomorrow. Sneha and Prasanna who has been in love for a couple of years is finally getting into the wedding lock.

But the hot news is that the edited wedding ceremony will be showcased in Vijay tv on May 20th. Also it is heard that the television rights has been brought for a record breaking price.

Vijay tv has set a new trend in getting the rights to telecast celebrities wedding and this will recieve high TRP among television viewers adds sources.

After shooting some important sequences including a song between Rajnikanth and Deepika Padukone and some encounter scenes between Super Star and Aadhi, the Kochadaiyaan crew is back to Kerala.

The technical crew lead by Soundarya had been to Kerala later this week.

Soundarya will be working on the technical aspects of the film. Rajni, Deepika and the lead actors have wrapped up shooting for the film.

The movie also stars Sarath Kumar, Nasser, Rukmani and Shobana in key roles. Music is by A R Rahman and interestingly Rajnikanth has sang a number for the film.

Since it is made in 3D format, lot of post production needs to be done. Soundarya is busy with that.
